The Day Travis got his drums By Jack Martin

One year when Travis turned six or seven my first wife Jeanne and I gave Travis a full drum set complete with cymbals for a present. I will never forget his excitement when he opened the box and we put it together and he banged away at the drums. The other parents at the party figured, as we did not have children we didn't know any better. We knew better but we also knew he would love them. In my opinion it was the best drumming I ever heard. After he grew up he told me that he really liked playing those drums. I told him that his Aunt Simone had banned me from giving drum sets to her boys, he laughed and said, "I can understand why, but those drums sure were fun."
