Locket By Johnna Turner

I am Johnna Turner and I went to school with Travis in Lincoln, ME. He was in the graduating class ahead of me. I just had a memory I wanted to share about him. Travis once asked me what was in the locket that I was wearing around my neck. After telling him that it was empty - he felt that it was very sad and wanted me to have a token of his friendship. Being Travis, he reached deep into his pocket and pulled out a wad of pocket lint which he proceded to stuff into my new locket. He joked that I could keep it forever. After the memorial - I got thinking about that story from long ago and wondered if my locket was still full of Travis' lint. It was still in there. It's times like that when we can truly remember his humor and smile. I was a classmate and a friend. He will be forever remembered by touching so many people's lives.
